Carrie Kingsbury was born in New York and raised in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and North Dakota. She comes from a long line of artists, which made her choice of careers, a no brainer.

Carries professional career began in grade school, when she began getting portrait commissions. She continued doing portraits and landscapes throughout high school.

She furthered her education at Bismark State College where she earned two Associates degrees in Fine Art and Graphic Design, earning many academic and artistic scholarships and awards.

In 1999, Carrie started Promiseland from her home in the Philadelphia area, painting custom portraits, murals and furniture. Although she has primarily painted in her local area, she has gone as far as California to do murals.
